Managements of Takht Sri Harmandar Jee, Patna Sahib (Bihar), and Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded (Maharashtra) will conduct a function each to mark this massacre.Every member of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) will organize at least one function in his respective segment within a month.Every member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Sri Amritsar, will organize a minimum of five functions in his respective constituency within a month to mark this massacre.So, a message in the name of the community is being issued as follows: Today, we are going to mark the centenary of these great martyrdoms. Approximately 150 to 200 Sikhs attained martyrdom during this bloodshed. The massacre at the sacred place of Gurdwara Janam Asthan Sri Nankana Sahib (Pakistan) 100 years ago was a huge tragedy for the Sikhs. The message is in Punjabi originally, and its English translation is given below: While delivering his ‘sandesh’ (message) in the name of the community during a function organized at the highest Sikh temporal seat to mark the massacre, he said, “The denial of permission is unforgettable incidence for the Sikhs and will be remembered forever whenever the anniversary of the massacre that took place at the birthplace of Guru Nanak Sahib on February 20, 1921, will be organized”.
